Sermon: Encountering the Waters of Life

Exodus 13.17-14.31: The climactic story of the Exodus narrative is the Red Sea crossing - the Old Testament's resurrection story. As Israel goes through the waters of death to life on the other side, so to do we in Christ as he conquers the grave. Easter is a day of victory, but it is a victory that goes through death. Praise God that Jesus has gone before and leads us down the path to victory.

We are the bush, that should burn, but doesn't. Not because of our strength, but the merciful fire of God that purifies us, but doesn't destroy us. This is the grace we find strength in.
