I John 1.1-2.2: To confront the threat of darkness and death, John tells us "the life appeared." This reality gives us comfort against all the threats the darkness wields and offers the hope of eternal life. In this, we gain great joy!

Acts 13.13-52: In Paul preaching the gospel, we sense his joy that has replaced his self-righteous anger. This is based on the overwhelming patience of God to offer him grace, though he was an enemy. This is a needed realization for all of us.

Acts 12: In Peter's miraculous escape, we see confirmation of God's continual working through his resurrection power in the church. It calls us to live out of that power and not the powers of the world.

Acts 10: In this chapter, we see a significant move in God's redemptive plan, that which breaks down the dividing wall of hostility between people and groups. In Jesus, we find the solution to division and discord. The church is called to live this vision out.
