Exodus 15.19-27: After the exuberance of redemption, the wilderness looms. Israel is brought to the path of discipleship, of the need to trust in the mercy and grace of God. It is in him that life in all its challenge is brought from bitterness to sweetness. For us as Christians, it is Christ who transforms us to walk with confidence and the sure hope of an eternal oasis of rest.
