Genesis 12.4-9: After God’s call, Abraham obeys God and travels to Canaan. In seeing what he does, we see a key part of how one lives within a pagan culture. A key thing is to keep before us ‘calling on the name of the LORD.’ In the midst of life’s troubles, it is very easy for the human soul to wander from the LORD, but it is only in the LORD where life and hope is found.
