Sermon: The Patriarch – Fount of Blessing
Genesis 12.1-9: God desires and plans for blessing for us and his world, but mankind pursues the path of curse. With Abraham, God speaks into the curse to offer a word of hope and life. He names us as his children and offers us an ever-expansive future of hope. In him, though the world might despise us, we become people of the name, or of renown in the heavenly kingdom.

Sermon: The Patriarch – Who Determines Our Steps?
Genesis 11.27-12.3: To get into Abraham's call he receives, we consider the cultural background of where he came from. As we understand the historical and cultural context, we can better understand the character of God's call upon him. What was Ur like, from where he was called? What was the world about at that time?
