Ephesians 5.3-5: We must see the world from a spiritual perspective, and especially the reality of words. Jesus is the Word made flesh and it is the Word and his words that create life and sustain it. To speak false words, especially the words of idolatrous patterns bring destructive reality. So, as we refuse to name the patterns of destruction, we are forming our hearts and communities to be formed by Christ, the divine Word. And this is done by words of thankfulness that orient us to the inheritance of the Kingdom of Christ that we’ve been gifted.
