I Peter 1.13-25: Because of the frailty of human life, it is natural for us to seek that which seems lasting and promising. Gold has served this purpose in a significant way for millennia. But here Peter dismisses it so quickly and points us to that which truly offers sustainable and lasting even unto eternal life – the precious blood of Jesus. Let us continue to look to the perfect and unblemished lamb for life, even eternal life.
