Hebrews 10.26-39: The challenge of being faithful to Christ contains threats within and without. The world can have a strong pull, with its threats and its desires that tempt. So we need to value correctly what we have – a treasure that is valued higher than any other and which lasts. If we calculate wrongly the value of the gospel we might throw it away. The writer urges us, “Do not shrink back.” “Persevere, for Christ is coming soon.”
